Holly Shockey Ramirez

Holly Shockey Ramirez is driven in her legal practice to make sure that her clients understand their options, feel confident taking the next step, and have their story heard. The biggest compliment Holly has received was having a client say,  “I felt like I really had someone with me.”

BACKGROUND

Holly grew up in the Texas Hill Country and graduated from Smithson Valley High School in 2005. She went on to attend Texas A&M University, where she became a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and graduated in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2009.

From there, Holly took a winding path to law. She started out as a teacher, where sixth-grade English was her favorite subject. She eventually had the opportunity to try to improve the school system from the outside by getting involved in the local community and became a Realtor in 2015. This shift afforded her the opportunity to make an impact in the local community for the benefit of teachers, students, businesses, and newcomers.

In 2020, Holly’s love for local community development and protecting her real estate clients led her to law school at Baylor School of Law. In the fall of 2022, she was honored to graduate as the highest-ranking member of her graduating class.

IN PRACTICE

Holly’s practice focuses on criminal defense.

In criminal defense, Holly is honored with the duty to uphold the safeguards in our criminal justice system, while ensuring that clients understand their options and feel like they are not solely defined by the worst thing someone has accused them of.

Holly is proud that Milam & Fanning, PLLC focuses on criminal defense with an eye for detail, storytelling, and compassion.  

OUTSIDE OF PRACTICE

Holly enjoys spending time with her husband, Will; their daughter, Ainsley; and their fur babies, Julep & Rye. They enjoy the outdoors, dinners with friends, movies, and lately, a lot of the show “Bluey.”
